Above are our two 2009 cria--Largo's Stormbringer in the rear and Largo's Jazz Queen in the front. Both were good sized babies but they are growing in leaps and bounds and both topped 50lbs at 2 weeks old. Way to go Largo! Storm (out of White Bird's Enchantment) is grey brown, stocky, and loaded with beautiful curls. His sister, Jazzy (out of our LaRaya Peru daughter Sweet Catalina) is red with black points, super silky fiber, and has the most incredibly long legs. We're looking forward to watching these guys grow--and look out for them in the showring in 2010!
A great big "THANK YOU!" to Kari Bredesen of MO for her purchase of Largo's Bolero and to Gary Nickel of OK for his purchase of Wild Apple's Sweet Cameo at the Ozark Llama Classic Sale. We appreciate your confidence in our program. Bolero is now settled in his new home and has had his first "date" with a llovely llady llama whom he successful wooed. Cameo is enjoying the freedom of the wide open OK pastures. We hope that these llamas bring many smiles and successes for their new owners.
Welcome! We are Wyatt and Dawn Moore and we have been raising llamas for 10 years. When we originally bought our property, we didn't think much about what we would do with the land until after we built our home. It then suddenly dawned on us that we needed to do something with all of the wonderful pasture we had before it became ruined by lack of use. We thought about all of our options--cattle, horses, sheep--but each had its drawbacks. We then saw our first heavy wooled llamas at the Western Montana Fair and it was love at first sight. This would be what we would raise! And so began our journey. It has been full of fun, hard work and surprises, and we wouldn't trade a single moment. We continue to enjoy raising these wonderful creatures and look forward to the future as our breeding program begins to blossom. We are emphasizing strength, size, conformation, fiber and disposition in equal proportions.
